of music. |

| Zero Period |
| |
| A Zero Period is included in the Time Table. This time
is utilized for extra-curricular activities that are organized
on a regular basis by the various clubs and societies
that exist in the College. |
| |
| House Activities
|
| |
The College has five Houses: Ajanta (Yellow), Nalanda
(Navy Blue), Sanchi (Magenta), Taxila (Sky Blue) and Ujjain
(Saffron). Students are allotted one or the other of these
five Houses named after the five centres of education
in Ancient India. They vie with each other on the field
for coveted trophies, including the prestigious Cock House
Shield, to the best of the five Houses. It is normally
presented by His Excellency, The Governor of the state
of Uttar Pradesh, patron of the College, who is the Chief
Guest at The Darbar Day, our Inter House Athletic Meet
held annually in December as a grand finale to the Old
Boys' Week,.
House Meetings are held during the Zero Periods in which
the House Heads discuss strategies that are to be adopted
in the numerous Inter-House activities that are held during
the course of the Academic Year. Inter House activities
include diverse Tournaments in Sports, both out-door and
in-door, and Cultural Contests (like Elocutions, Debates,
Quizzes, Choreography, Just A Minute, Dramatics, Western
and Indian Vocal and Instrumental Music, Dumb Charades,
Literary Charades and Mushairas).

| Sports & Games |
| |
The College gives a lot of importance to sports and
games. Our teams in Cricket, Football, Hockey and Aquatics
have brought several trophies to the College. Innumerable
trophies adorn the offices of the Principals.
The College owns enormous playgrounds and nearly every
kind of pit, track and court that can be imagined. Ranji
Trophy and Sheesh Mahal Trophy matches have been played
on our grounds in the past.
Trained experts provide not only Blackboard information
and electronic back up to the College Teams but also train
them on the ground.
Records are maintained and certificates and medals are
awarded for excellence in sports and games. The breaking
of an earlier record in the Field and Track Events is
celebrated by all with gaiety and jubilation.
Games are held in the evenings in which Day Scholars can
also participate. Students are expected to turn up in
their Games Uniform which includes a sky blue shirt, navy
blue shorts, white stockings and white canvas shoes. At
all Inter House events, students must turn up in their
house colours. |
| |
| Evening Bath &
Study |

They go in for a routine medical inspection which is followed
by a study period that is supervised by the House Master
and a visiting Study Supervisor. |
| |

at night. Soon after the All-In report is filed by the
